Allison Harnish has recieved the Dissertation Year Fellowship Award. Allison Harnish works in a frontier farming region outside one of Africa’s largest national parks, and in her dissertation she investigates how gender- and age-based differences in household labor roles prompt men, women, boys, and girls to differently experience declines in natural resources.
Vanessa Fong is an associate professor in the Graduate School of Education, Harvard University. Her research examines the longitudinal consequences of China’s one-child policy for Chinese individuals, families, and society.
Allan Butterfield, professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center of Membrane Sciences, has been named a UK Alumni Association Endowed Professor.
