Each award winner will become his or her university’s nominee for the 2015 SEC Professor of the Year Award and will receive a $5,000 honorarium from the SEC. The SEC Professor of the Year, to be named later this month, receives an additional $15,000 honorarium and will be recognized at the SEC Awards Dinner in May and the SEC Symposium in September.
A total of 61 UK students, including undergraduates in the departments of political science, psychology, biology, international studies, and mathematics, earned a place on the 2013-14 SEC Honor Roll.
Professor Roberts and three others at UK were named fellows in the program, which seeks to identify, prepare and advance academic leaders within the SEC.

Three University of Kentucky faculty members will present at the first-ever Southeastern Conference Symposium, to be held Feb. 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The 2013 edition of the SEC Symposium, titled “Impact of the Southeast in the World’s Renewable Energy Future,” addresses a significant scholarly issue across the range of disciplines represented by the SEC’s 14 member universities.
Forty-six University of Kentucky Wildcats earned a place on the 2012 Fall Sports Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll announced by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. UK’s total of forty-six tied for the fourth-most among the fourteen league teams.
