Perspectives in the Philosophy of Art: Tim Sundell and Stefan Bird-Pollan

Art is something everyone has an opinion about, but it can be difficult to define. There will be a conference about philosophical takes on aesthetic expression, “Perspectives in the Philosophy of Art,” on March 30th & 31st. Stefan Bird-Pollan and Tim Sundell, assistant professors in the Department of Philosophy, are co-organizing the conference, which will help conclude a year of aesthetics courses.

Latin is not dead, at least not at the University of Kentucky. "Latin is spoken as a living language here" says Jonathan Meyer, a graduate student in the Latin Studies program. Jonathan was recently nominated in the Masters Category for the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Excellence in Teaching Award for Teaching Assistants. Queens of Academe: Student Pageants with Karen Tice

Karen Tice is a professor in the Department of Gender and Women's Studies. Professor Tice is giving a lecture on April 18th entitled Queens of Academe: Student Life and Campus Pageantry. The lecture is a part of a series put on by the Gender and Women Studies department.
