The College of Arts and Sciences inducted six new members into its Hall of Fame Oct. 10, 2014, with a ceremony at the Singletary Center for the Arts, bringing the current totals to 38 alumni and 13 emeritus faculty A&S Hall of Fame members.

University of Kentucky student Brooke Stewart has been selected to participate in an inaugural leadership program for GEAR UP alumni in Washington, D.C. in June.

Allan Butterfield is UK's Alumni Association Endowed Professor of Biological Chemistry at UK, and the Director of the Center for Membrane Sciences.
The focus of his research is the study of oxidative stress on the brain, one of the main components of Alzheimer's Disease.
